It's here.

Okay, so I haven't really posted about this much, because I didn't want to jinx it, but I finally get to cross something off my Wish List!

I will now share with you the pictures that tell the story.

What's this?  A box for moi?

Does anyone else hear angels singing something gloriously wonderful?!?

It's in my hand!  It's in MY HAND!

Even the instruction book is fun.

Powering up!

This might possibly be the worst picture ever.  I love ya, Blackberry, but sometimes you really let me down.  But, every time you turn off the Kindle, it puts up a really cool picture.  This one was my favorite, so far.

I would like to thank my darling hubby, for totally coming through for my birthday.  I would like to thank Amazon, for being sneaky little devils and telling me my Kindle would be here between April 3 and April 8, but actually delivering it on April 1.  And I would like to thank peer pressure, for making me feel like a nobody because I didn't have the latest, hottest gadget.  I realize my Kindle will be technologically obsolete in a matter of months...but I don't care.  I am cool this week.

And what do you think the first book I uploaded via Whispernet (cool name, eh?) to my Kindle was?

What can I say?  I love me some Tori Spelling!

I know, I know.  Not the most thought-provoking book out there...but I don't read to get smarter.  I'm already perfectly brilliant.  I read for entertainment, and let me tell you, this family is entertaining!  Don't be jealous.

My pink silicone case and travel pack will be here soon...can't wait!

  1. That's your first selection? Tori Spelling? I think that you should have at least put up a fake egghead book... you know like when you are reading Mad magazine on the beach, but you have it covered up with the Dissertations of Robespierre or something.
The kindle is a very cool thing...and you are a very cool mommy. Can Gracie and Nana read Black Beauty on your kindle?

  2. Nana, I would love for you and Gracie to read Black Beauty on my'll just have to rip it out of my cold, dead fingers first.

I realize my literature choices aren't always the most sophisticated...but I like what I like!

  3. I can't wait to hear the review on Tori Spellings book from someone who actually read it! I have thought about buying it...just wounld't shell out the'm cheap. So...crossing my fingers that you do a "book review" or at least give a few comments on it here soon!

Very cool hubby to get you a Kindle! I'm jealous!

  4. Supermanslady - I'm almost done with this book, and I have really enjoyed it. My main criticism is that if you have watched their show, then you've already seen most of the things Tori writes about in this book. But it's a quick, easy read and it's cracked me up a couple of times. Every now-and-then I have to read a paragraph to my hubby because Tori's relationship with Dean is so similar to my relationship with my hubby.

  5. I love my computer but I don't know if I can get into an e-book. Maybe I should borrow yours and see? LOL

  6. Girl...I have to say.....that I read the same book...and I liked it!

  7. Congrats on your Kindle. I have many friends who love theirs.

  8. Not ONLY am I glad you got your Kindle...I am very glad your husband is trainable!!!
